Beat Caravan started with Shooge (vocals, guitar) and Miho (bass, vocals) in the late 1990s. They added Matt (drums) from the power pop band More Fun in 2001 and finally rounded out the lineup with Bob (guitar, vocals) a few years later. After releasing two EPs (on Popball and Target Earth respectively), they put out their first full-length “On Parade” on Power Elephant Records in 2010. Over the years, they’ve opened for Nikki & the Corvettes, the Modernettes, the Stems, the Incredible Casuals and more. Beat Caravan’s sound is unique, especially in Tokyo, and they’ve built a loyal following of country rock and power pop fans.
